We woke up early and headed out to the Maasai Mara again. It was hectic with the calls of rhinos and every vehicle racing to get there. We traveled all day in search of as many critters as possible. We found lions, hippos, cheetahs, crocodiles, and so many vultures. It was an amazing day capturing bucket list shots with people I have come to trust and enjoy more than I ever knew. I was not feeling well and wanted to skip meeting the Maasai people so I slept in the truck, but one Maasai man approached me because he saw I wasn’t feeling well. He ended up giving me some Maasai medicine and told me to keep it, to take home. I could tell he wanted to sell me something. However, I wanted something personal, not just another souvenir. He was wearing a vest of beads and I asked if he would be willing to part with it. He tried selling me similar items, but after some more conversation and negotiating, he ended up selling me what he was wearing. I took a selfie with him and headed back to the lodge. The Maasai Mara is one of the most amazing places I've ever visited. There was so much life here that it filled my heart with hope. We headed back for dinner and celebratory drinks. This was another amazing day.
